“And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, “Take, eat, this is my body, which is broken for you: This do in remembrance of me” – 1 Corinthians 11 V24

Beloved, it should appear almost impossible that we that have been redeemed by the blood of the dying Lamb, and loved with an everlasting love by the eternal Son of God, who died for us, should ever forget our gracious Saviour, Jesus Christ!

Forget Him, He who never forgets us!
Forget Him, He who poured His blood forth for our sins!
Forget Him, He who loved us even to death!
Can this be possible – can you forget Jesus?
Yes, this is not only possible, but our conscience confesses that it is too sadly a fault with all of us, that we suffer Him to be with us only on Sundays when we go to church, or only for few minutes a day.

He – Jesus, who we should make the abiding memory or our everyday life, is only to us, but a visitor now and then.

The Cross where one would think that memory would linger, is desecrated by our feet of forgetfulness.

Do you not find yourselves forgetful of Jesus? Something else tends to steal away your heart, and you are unmindful of Him upon whom your affection ought to be set.
Some earthly business tends to engrossed your attention when you should fix your eye steadily upon the cross.

It is the constant attraction of earthly things which takes away the soul from Christ.

Remember Jesus, as you eat, brake bread with your family everyday in remembrance of Jesus. Let your remembrance of Jesus be often.

Let us charge ourselves to bind a heavenly “forget-Jesus-not” around our hearts for Christ our beloved, and though whatever else we let slip, let us hold fast to Christ forever. Amen!

Start your day with Jesus.

Beloved, have a blessed day.
