“I will rejoice over them to do them good.”-Jeremiah 32: V41

Beloved, God delights in His saints! We cannot see any reason in ourselves why the Lord should take pleasure in us; even we cannot take delight in ourselves, for we are often conscious of our sinfulness, our unfaithfulness; and we fear that God’s people cannot take much delight in us, for they must perceive so much of our imperfections and our follies, that they may rather lament our infirmities than admire our graces. But we love to dwell upon this transcendent truth, this glorious mystery: that as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so does the Lord rejoice over us. For God delighteth in the habitable parts of the earth, and His delights are with the sons of men.

Beloved, as from today, “thou shalt be given a new name, for the Lord delighteth in thee”; O thou believer, who was debased and depraved by sin, but saved, exalted, and glorified by His grace. In strong ways, God expresses His delight in His people! Yes “He will rejoice over you with joy, He will rest in His love, He will joy over you with singing.” As He looked upon the world He had made, He said, “It is very good”; but when He beheld those who are the purchase of Jesus’ blood, His own chosen ones, it seemed as if the great heart of the Infinite could restrain itself no longer, but overflowed in divine exclamations of joy he proclaimed – “I will rejoice over them to do them good”. Therefore with gratitude, today let us utter our grateful thanks to such a marvellous declaration of His love, and sing, “I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation?”
Start your day with Jesus.
Beloved, have a blessed day.

I hate Verizon

  2. It must be me then as I could only complete 50% of this puzzle, I just didn’t seem to get going and have had to refer to the review in order to backsolve it. Thanks to Shamus and to Big Dave.On another note does anybody know why I am SPINDRIFT when I use ie explorer and SPYNDYFT when I use Google Chrome. I remember there was a hitch at about the time the DT site was at its most unreliable but I can’t remember why I had to change the “i”s to “y”s

  3. By Wafiyah April 11, 2010 – 4:56 pmAfter reading each of the stories listed, I remember a saying I once read. “When the shoe fits, we forget about the feet.” During this lifetime one is constantly fighting the battle of survival. Those of us who believe in the Lord and His plan know whether good or bad, it is the will of His. We must remind ourselves to thank Him, and constantly keep Him in our thoughts.AFTER EVERY DIFFICULTY THERE IS RELIEF. SOMETIMES THE RELIEF IN ACTUALLY IN THE DIFFICULTY*

  4. Brilliant record; a-side as well as the b-side! Like you, I heard this first on Burning Ambitions… Has there ever been a better early (UK) punk comp? No Pistols and Clash (I’m still waiting for the punk doc that won’t mention either band), almost all debut singles, and starting off with the triple punch of Buzzcocks/Fall/Wire!Generation X were dogged by street cred problems from the start; one rock mag slagged them for drinking orange juice during an interview; the reason they drank it was they’d just gotten shots for VD!

  5. I think being able to see the top is a big part of it. At the point I panicked, I couldn’t actually see the top, while the bottom was, obviously, 900m below me. Interestingly, it also seems to have fed back into my land vertigo, which I thought I’d got under control. Got very, very wobbly on top of a minaret yesterday in a way that I haven’t done for many years.Do you manage to get it to pass without grabbing onto someone?
