“Thou art my hope in the day of evil.” – Jeremiah 17: V17
Beloved, the path of the Christian is not always bright with sunshine; there are seasons of darkness and storm. Yet all our ways shall be ways of pleasantness and our paths, peace.
The light of Christ shine on us each day. At certain periods, clouds cover the believer’s sun, and we sees no light in our situation. There are many who have rejoiced in the presence of God for a season; they have basked in the sunshine in the earlier stages of their born-again; they have walked along the “green pastures” by the side of the “still waters,” but suddenly they find the glorious sky is clouded; instead they have to tread the sandy desert; they find troubled streams, and they say, “Surely, if I were a child of God, this would not happen.”
Oh no beloved, the best of God’s saints must drink the severe trial; the dearest of His children must bear the cross. Perhaps the Lord allotted you at first a smooth and unclouded path, but now that you are stronger in the spiritual life, you must enter upon the riper and rougher experience of God’s full-grown children. We need winds and tempests to exercise our faith, to tear off self-dependence, and to root us more firmly in Christ. Be strong, Jesus is the value of your glorious hope – He is your helper in the days of evil, and will surely help you. Amen!
JESUS LOVES YOU. Start your day with Jesus.
“You are the Alpha and Omega, we worship you O Lord, for you are worthy to be praised” Beloved, have a blessed day
